26 Mar 2008	H	Heathmont - unfortunately we had to stop play after five ends due to heavy rain. This was the last game for this season 2007-08 Wednesday Social Bowls. Thank you to all of our bowlers who bowled this year. Also, thank you to the ladies who looked after us at afternoon tea - Joe Next week's game is the Reg Royle Trophy Day, away at Blackburn North.
4 Apr 2008	A	The Reg Royle Trophy Day was cancelled this season due to bad weather.
After playing five ends our two rinks were doing well. This year we had a very successful year. Numbers were around 48 each week. We must thank all those ladies who looked after us with the afternoon teas. Thanks very much. Our Rex Ritchie Memorial Trophy was very close all year & very few points separated the top ten players after 25 games. Ivor Maartensz finished on top with 56 points, Kevin Adams was second with 55 points followed by Ernie Gamwell & Peter Peterson equal third on 53 points. Well done to everyone. Next year's program has been drawn up - we play 16 games at home and 9 away. See you next season & have a good winter - Joe
