The Mooroolbark team of Rick Bennett, Phil Haynes, Doug Bosman and Ian Harper (skip)
playing at Mitcham won the Group Fours final comfortably, 23-11 despite their Mitcham opposition - Wayne Handley, Lindsay Turner, Matt Handley and skip Daryl Fraser scoring a "5" for a mini-break early in the game.
Unfortunately they were defeated in their first game of the State finals at Altona on 5 March 2008.
